New to me 4Runner. Anybody any reconmendations

Just bought a 89. Has engine miss and back pass side has appox 140 psi during cranking. All others are 155 to 160. New this when I bought it and it has had the recall done. Getting ready to R&R cyl head to replace head gaskets and have valves done. Sure clearance is gone. No coolant cleaning on plugs and oil is good. Has always had Mobil One. No leaks anywhere that dealer hasn't fixed. Only has 341000 on it and lower engine was done 120000 ago by the dealer. What would anybody recommend replacing while I have heads off. Injectors and or Orings, timing belt, water pump will al be replaced. Anything that could be or should be replaced at same time. Heater by pass tube for instance? Has anybody had any luck with having injectors cleaned either by running engine on pressured cleaner or sending them somewhere? How about aftermarket cams for little extra pulling power. Will be used for daily driver and pulling ATV's to hunting property.

Search around on the forums, we just had a couple of these threads show up with lots of recommendations.

Here's one to start with: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...valves-273315/

Thanks for the reply. I did find the item you posted about the starter. Found the info about the U shaped coolant line helpful. I was hoping more people would post about stuff to check while doing above work. My other Toyotas all have over 150000 and this one has 341000 so looking to do some prerepair work.

Knock sensors, knock sensor harness, and injector plugs would be additions to your repair/replace list i would make.

From what i've read, Witch Hunter repairs and cleans injectors. Flamethrower sells upgrades for about 200 dollars.

knock sensor wire harness has also been ordered, wondering about distbutor. having 341000 on OEM dist, one would think the bearings or bushings could use some attention. Are they replaceable? Anybody have any suggestions?

Since not a lot of people have any replies to this we can talk about the little video about saving electricity you posted. Old trick with glass NON SMART elect meters is to drill small hole in glass and insert with into the wheel that spins for the meter to measure the input. Just have to stop it from spinning. Drill in bottom and remove wire day or two before meter is checked. Most meters are checked with binoculars so hole is not visible. Must know to not change the a lot at once so company has no reason to suspect. Can lower bill by half and keep it that way if wire is installed and removed about the same every month.
