For not too much more then sending the old ones in to be cleaned I can pick these up and have no down time.

They claim that they are a matched set but no pics to see if the plug color is the same as mine. (white) Does that matter? Has anyone bought injectors off the net, and if so where is the best place? The #s on mine are 0475 08. Thanks for your help.

I sent mine to RCengineering when I popped the headgasket on my pickup. Had them back in about 3 days. And they come with a flow sheet w/ before and after spray patterns, as well as flow rates.

I have sent two sets to WITCH HUNTER in Washington from Maryland and after he receved them I had them back in my hands in two days and I am very happy with the set I am using.
I have one set that I have not used they are for an 88 only if you have an 88 I will sell them to you for the same I have in them $84 bucks with paper work from WITCH HUNTER.

Witch Hunter is the one I will use if that is the way I go, rebuild.

Here is what I have going, got a block, crank, and rods in the shop. When I get them back have to put the lower end together to see where the pistons are in the holes, and how much needs to come off the deck to get into Engnbldr's build specs. Then back to the shop the block goes. I have the RV Steet head, 268 cam, and master kit on-hand.

The truck is still being used as I type this. Would love to have a set of injectors here ready when I get the long block together. That way it is a pull it out, put it right back kind of things.

olharleyman, it is a 85. I would sure get those out of your way if it was.

I say when you start the tear down USPS priority yours to Witch Hunter he get's them and rebuilds and cleans them the same day then ships them back to you USPS Priority and you have them back in your hands in 2-3 days. All for around $90 bucks and no need for a core

With 2-3 days to get there, a day or 2 there, and 2-3 days back. That is if everything works out right, not common around here. So a week or more without my Toyota....
That would mean I would have to drive a dually with a 454 that LOVES fuel so much that I would be out another $100+ in gas. So you see it is cheaper for me to pay the $150 for the new injectors. All I need now is to know the brand to use. I understand if no one has ever bought new injectors then I am on my own here. Hope I'm not.

Sorry about not wanting to send mine in for cleaning, it's just I would like not to be down for more than 2 days, and I did not see how cheap new injectors were till after I posted this thread. By the way, the new eng. will be ready to go in before the old one is pulled.

It's best to keep your factory ones and have them rebuilt. I live in FLa. on the other side of the country and it only took him four days. You can't be sure what your getting as far as new ones.

witch hunter is great. took 3 days for mine, CA to WA. although when i got them back i realized after looking at the flow chart i didnt really need to have them done.

OK OK!!!! Dang it. I'll send them to WH and drive the Mac truck around till I get them back.
Not all bad, the big truck does have a 2000w+ RMS stereo in it, and if I don't want to leave my little Toy alone (we are very close) at the house I can put it in the bed of the Chevy.

3-4 days down is a long time for a truck that has done nothing but go for 25 years. Maybe it could use the time off... Now this is 3-4 days AFTER he gets them. CRAP we are back to over a week right?
