New guy need HELP!!!!

Surge sort of HELP!!!!
I have a 92sales 22re auto 4x4 I just put a head gasket on for a guy. Replaced head gasket had it surface checked and replaced timing chain, cover, and guides. The truck cranks and runs great but after 2-3 heavy throttle accels it starts to act like it is on a rev limiter on heavy accel you can bump it into neutral and kill it crank it right back up and put it in drive and heavy accel and it goes perfect. I changed the tps and no difference what so ever. I checked for codes nothing. Timing is on 10 set jumping e1 to te1. Guy says it wasnt doing this prior but with a blown head gasket I didnt drive it. I worked at the yota dealer from 94 to 02te1 and never saw anything like this. I called the other tech I worked with there and he is at a loss. I have searched here and found nothing. Please help. Scott

Problem specific titles rather than "help" typically yields more help
Sure the timing is right?
I bet it did it before you got it.
