New guy here from Colorado
Hello, I just wanted to give out the old I am newb, see me get flamed post I live in Colorado and have been driving Toyotas for my whole entire life (well, since I could drive legally). I'm picking up a rust free 86Runner tomorrow. Normally I shoot for solid axle trucks but they just end up costing me so damn much money, because it's never good enough lol. This time I'm building a DD/Camping vehicle. Im thinking OME bars and springs, bj spacers, and a little longer shackle. Hopefully I can stuff 33x12.5's under there but I might just go the 33x10.5 route as I heard they are easier to fit on an IFS truck. Flame on!

Who Hooooo! More coloradans. Your Avatar lists ski town usa. Would that be steamboat? If so my folks live there. We'll be up there this turkey day! Yes welcome, and for the record there is no flaming here, nor is there any crap given for IFS. In fact two of the best IFS wheelers are in colorado... Axleike and TC.... They really push the limits of their rigs. Search their user names and look at their posts. They will give you a lot of good info.
We are having a wrench-a-thon this weekend at the H.O.W (House of Wrenching) near longmont. Stop by if you are in the neighborhood!

Well thanks for the warm welcome! On Pirate you get chewed up and spit out for saying hello haha. We'll see just how rust free it is. The outside looks great, but I have yet to pull interior panels. I will know better tomorrow, still can't beat it. It needs a radiator and sounds like it might need a t-chain. $800 is all I paid. The only thing that kind of sucks is it's an auto trans but I heard they last just fine as long as you keep up on the maintenance.

I actually live up in the Georgetown area, about 10 minutes from Loveland Ski Area, I will probably be relocating to Breckenridge in the spring because of a job offer. Thanks a lot for the link! I don't think I'll be able to make wrench-a-thon this time because we are headed to Wyoming this weekend to trailer my truck back. Monday it will be insured and driveable. Gotta get a new radiator.

I'm picking it tomorrow and only did the look-over so I don't have any pics of my own yet but here are some from the Craigslist ad. It really is a pretty damn clean Runner, this will be my 3rd 1st gen 4Runner and by far the cleanest.
Here are some old ones I've had before, but not even close to all of them.
haha I take that back, this used to be a 1st gen 4Runner

Just got back from Wyoming a few minutes ago. No fresh pics as of yet, I need to wait until my fiance gets back from work. This is one beautiful little truck, the cleanest Runner I've seen in a while. I literally stole it from this guy at $800 if you ask me. The paint is even shiny.

And here she is
That's it so far. This thing is pretty clean, I'm not going to say rust free but it is Bondo free! And damn near rust free.
