Post New 4Runner And Need Help!

So I have just purchased a 95 Toyota 4Runner 4WD 5 Speed for $300 and it has a blown 3.0. I am buying a fresh rebuilt 3.0 soon but I need advice on some stuff. So the previous owner lost the key and hooked up and ignition that can be used with any key and the Gas Cap Door was removed to. That also means I can not lock the door. But I was wondering if someone could link me an Ignition and Door Handle Set that has the same key and preferably have the door handles the chrome ones that came stock. Thank you!

Good luck man. I would start from a lock smith, see if they can re-key the cylinders.

That is what I was thinking also but I want to try and get everything from the back door hatch to the glove box and doors and everything to use the same key, but I did just find this. http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/...ssembly=503740

There are three pictures that they have with this set...two are pickups and one is a 4Runner from what it appears. It looks like #1 is the ignition lock cylinder which is in the truck. #2 and 4 are the front doors. #5 is the tailgate but I don't know what #3 is. I'd try to find a used set which will be cheaper.

@daved5150 1 is the ignition, 4 is the driver side and 2 is passenger side, 3 is glove box, and 5 is the back hatch. It also comes with 2 keys. I think for 94 bucks plus tax and shipping so we will just say $100 I think it isn't a bad deal for all of them. I just wish I could get a hold of them and ask if it will work for a 95 4Runner which I would assume it would.

Yotoder, I didn't think they have a set to sell. that's good, and the price is good to imo.

TO check if (and which one) fits your car, take your vin and go to toyotapartszone.com, put the part number in the search box, when it finds the part, it will have a alink to check if it fits on your vehicle, go through that page and check for fitment.

That part# returns a cylinder set for the Yaris when I look it up and I have no idea how to go about verifying that it would fit in a 4runner. Following your link, it looks like that part# is for the ignition cylinder only.

I got a set of ebay locks plus the ignition cylinder for my 94 truck for $80. However, I couldn't find anything that came with the gas hatch lock.

I've seen several places that list truck and 4runner locks and ignition as the same part #.

Edit: pretty sure that this is the set I bought:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Pickup-Truck-1989-1995-Ignition-2-Door-Lock-Cylinders-with-New-Keys-/151358721326?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AToyota&hash=item233daecd2e&vxp=mtr
Alternatively, you could these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-1990-1991-1992-1993-1994-Toyota-Pickup-Door-Gas-Lock-Cylinder-Tumbler-Set-/141193169300?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AToyota&hash=item20dfc4c994&vxp=mtr
and then a separate ignition cylinder/key.

That's all I've got so far. You might try emailing that seller and explaining what you want.

GO here http://www.toyotapartszone.com/oem/t...057-35070.html

About the middle of the page click on the blue text "Click Here" beside the green text that says "Check if this part fits your vehicle". New page will open, put in your VIN number and see if the part you found fits your vehicle. For example it does not fit my VIN so I see this page.

From my experience toyotapartszone.com is also the cheapest online OEM part dealer, so might as well order there as well. They are in Norwalk CA.

Call the dealer. Ask them to give you the part number for the set you are looking for.
