Nerf Bar Install
Hey everyone. im having some trouble figuring out how to install my nerf bars. please dont give me any crap about nerfbars and that sliders are better. they were 150 at a scrap yard with a tube bumper. anyway here they are
and the brackets
and some random undercarriage shots that may or may not help.
my main question is how do the brackets attach to the frame. and also how they attach to the nerf bars themselves. i am thinking i will need to drill holes in my frame but would really rather not.
any and all help, tips, pointers, and friendly criticism is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Parker

ya they came off of an 86. i have an 87. what year is yours? i think the only way mine will work is by drilling holes in the frame. i got the brackets on and everything but need to wait till my dad gets home for an extra set of hands to mark the holes

I always try to take pic's at the junkyard too (just for future reference)
This one looks to me like it would go on a body mount and get braced on the frame
This one looks like it would go on the transfer case crossmember mount
with all those elongated slots you should not have to drill any other holes in your brackets IMO.
I would grab a tape measure and do some comparisons, that nerf bar might a little heavy picking up a few times...
Good luck
