Needing some help with my 86 yota

I have a 87 single cab 4x4 pickup. First to list the mods already done to it: LC Engineering big bore throttle body, LC Engineering upper and lower intake manifold, LC Engineering stage 2 cam, Nippon aluminum racing head, bored .03 over with new pistons (they are higher than stock but not exactly sure as to how much. gotta look in my paperwork), pace setter long tube header, cold air intake, 2 row aluminum radiator and a complete engine overhaul. I've been messing with it for a while and haven't been able to get it to run right. It was idling at about 5 grand but got that problem solved and now I am just kinda stumped. Trying to figure out the vacuum line situation (have looked at many diagrams and many pictures on here but still seem to come up with some lines that have nowhere to plug in). I have deleted a couple of the emissions stuff that don't need to be hooked up. Was wondering if there were any members in the Texas area that I could pick there brain or maybe even get a hand with it. I have been working on this project off and on for the past few years and I'm just ready to get it up and running.

Sounds like a pretty good project! So what exactly is it doing or not doing that is making you think it runs poorly?

Vacuum lines will definitely cause some problems if they are not hooked up right. What lines aren't plugged in?

Well it takes a lot of cranking to get it to finally fire off. Also gotta use starter fluid to get it going until it warms up enough to run and stay running. I'm leading me to believe the fuel pump may be getting weak because I also upgraded my injectors during the rebuild. As far as the vacuum lines go I had a shop tinker with it and all they seemed to do is cram bolts into vacuum lines to block them off and get it running. That does not however solve the problem. I want it to be clean under the hood and everything hooked up in their proper location. I know by deleting some of the emissions stuff a couple of the vacuum lines should be deleted as well. Problem is figuring out what I can delete and what is needed to allow the engine to run properly.

efi, right? is the cold start injector still on the intake plenum? that's what injects fuel when the engine is cold.

start up and idle shouldn't take a lot of fuel, if it's driveable down the road after warming up, it sounds like there should be enough fuel pump left to start it up.

Yes efi. Cold start injector? Is it near the engine or more near the throttle body?

Yeah I'm thinking the fuel pump is okay as they usually work or they don't.

Search EGR delete or 22RE vacuum line removal, or something along those lines. There are millions of threads with detailed pics on which vacuum lines are necessary and which ones to remove.

Personally I would have left ALL of them and then got it running perfect...then start removing one system at a time.

How does it run and perform once you get it started?

Last time it ran it was pretty good. A little bog off the line but I'm thinking that may have something to do with some of the vacuum lines. It seems like EVERYTHING on this motor runs off vacuum lines. I get cross eyed if I look at it for to long

I almost forgot. The 3 way vacuum port is no longer on the throttle body. 1 of the ports dry rotted and broke off. The threaded hole has been plugged. Toyota said they can't get the 3 port vacuum switch anymore.
