Need Some help getting my window down

I have the top off my 4runner and I rolled the rear window up to get to some wires behind it, And now is wont go back down has anyone had this problem or know what I need to do to get it back down ?? thanks

yeah tops off and the window was stuck up, i was messing around with the wiper and washer and all of a sudden it went down, i dont know what the deal is with is at least its down now..

OK further clarification needed...
let's see if we got this now...
You had a problem with the wiper/washer [which is on the cap on these 1gen 4runners] and all of a sudden the window went down.
The cap is off now and the window is stuck down.
Is that right?

If this is the case I'm pretty sure the window had a safety feature built into it that won't allow the window to come up with the cap off, but I'm not sure about this.

If the cap is on again and the window still won't come up check the connections for the wiper and so forth the hatch/window connectors are in the same place {I think} make sure they are not loose, also check the fuses.
Other then that not much I can offer in the way of help for now sorry...

you can 'fool' the window to operate if you latch both tailgate mechanisms to the closed position. this only works with the top on though, there are a couple of interlocks designed into the truck to prevent that function.

how you managed to get the window up with the top off is beyond me. must have held your nose just right! at least the window is down now, things should be back to normal once you reinstall the top.

thanks guys, the top is off and i rolled the window up and it got stuck then i was messing around with switches and it went down, no problem anymore just hope it goes up when the hard top is back on...
