Need some help, 1992 4runner
Hey guys just bought a new 4runner, speedo reads 198xxx. 5speed 4wd ifs on 34s. Its got the 3.0. Ive recently replace the cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, it has a k&n intake filter. It has a cutting out problem. It idles fine, revs up in neutral fine. While driving, if your easy on the throttle it will drive pretty good and slowly build rpms. If your somewhat aggresive with the throttle or hammer down it builds rpms then falls on its face and kinda dies and struggles. I dont want to keep throwing money at it. Ive checked the tps sensor it looked very clean and new, i unscrewd it from the intake and reattached it in the same twisted position. Ive check the maf, under the top cover it looked brand new, but the sensor probe looked kinda clogged in the front of the intake. Im kinda stumble where to go next maybe a o2 sensor or the emissons? In need a scan tool! Well any help will be appriecated, going to pull a plug tonight

Any check engine codes? You can check the TPS by disconnecting it while the engine is running, it should cause the engine to idle up. O2 sensor won't cause the problem. Sounds as though it is not getting enough air or fuel. Slowly giving it gas works, but fast accel does not. Cleaned the throttle body? clean the AFM? You can check for a plugged cat. converter by removing the O2 sensor and see if it makes a difference. Plugged cat. will give the same problem.

Definitely pull a few of the plugs and take pics so we can see what they look like. Do have a timing light to check timing?
