Need A lift
Have a stock 95 2 WD pick up how should I go about getting more lift. I would like to have more suspension clearance and would like to put 29/9.5/15 on, I'm running 14's now. I have, under the axle springs. Can I place the springs over the axle and if so how much lift would this give me in the rear. Is it easy to do. Thanks K. should I just purchase the tire and rims now and see what lift I get just from the tires? Will i need a body lift to fit these tires on. Thanks K.

Yes I'm paying attention, That's why I asked about the over and under spring question.
I'm just lost on what to do first to lift my truck. Should I just get the rims and tires first and then worry about the lifting later. I do want more suspension clearance and want some bigger tires. If I read right, blocks will not lift my under springs and the shackles I have now all ready measure 5 inches. Is it possble to just get a longer schackles to lift the rearend and maybe play with the TB up front.
Am I on the right track? Help K.

When you start a discussion, keep everything related to it in the same place. Don't ask the same question in 3 different places, then start a new thread based on a question from one of the answers. The proper way to lift the rear is with taller (more arched) springs. Blocks cause axle wrap and are regarded as a poor way to lift a truck. Shackles are not great either on their own because it changes the pinion angle on between the rear diff and the drive shaft.

in order for the rear to be "proper" it would require a spring over swap. simple, takes a couple hours just measure correctly and it will net around 4". you'll have to buy new perches or make some to weld on.
