Won't work! 89 to 91 trucks have a cable driven speedo, Toyota switched to digital in 92 then back to cable in 95 again. You will need to have a cluster from the same year and engine size and trans to make sure you don't have any issues. Also make sure you change out the sending unit for the warning light on your truck, to the oil pressure sending unit other wise the oil pressure guage will burn out and it will not work anymore. If you do the dash swap before you you change the oil pressure sending unit, make sure you disconnect the wire for the oil warning light before you hook up the battery or turn the key to be safe.

Here is a link with some info, its for the 2nd gen rigs but a lot of the info will still apply.

sorry to break the news, hope this helps

You may also have an issue with using the Tachometer. It will need to be re-calibrated for the 4cyl to work properly. It can be done on the tach itself.

From my knowledge if your truck has manual front hubs it is cable driven, if it has no hubs it is electronic speedometer.

I also have the same issue. my truck is a 92 4x4 4 cylinder. the cluster came from a 94 automatic v6. everything on it works just fine minus the take. I need to figure out how to recalibrate it.
