if you've read about it, then you know that it's pretty much pointless to do to these 22re's...

even with a turbo shoving air into the plentum, these motor's still move less air than a knat's fart...

a more time and money worthy intake mod would be a snorkle

i really just wanna punch the next person who says that they want to put a "Cold Air Intake" on 22re... it isnt a damned Honda... its a short ram intake... or ISR... search for it if you dont know what that means...
and yea, its worthless unless you want the growl from the intake...

I can agree with the idea that a "cold air" intake won't help with power but changing the intake to a less restrictive setup will help. Say what you want but there is a reason people do the supra AFM swap and change the intake piping, because it helps. You won't have a dragster but it makes a difference.

True, but so much money for so little gain. I myself replaced stock air with a stock sized K&N, prob had it in 16 years or so. no dust or over oil issues so far.

LMFAO>>>>>>>I want to put a cold air intake on my 22RE!!!!!!!! Sorry space junk, I had too, cause I am tired of hearing it myself. Why dont we just put a big ram air scoop on the hood that is non functional. It will help as much as a CAI!

HA! Just for that I'm going to put a hood scoop and a rear wing on my 4runner!!!!

Although now that I think about it I could probably fab up a cold air intake that will fit in a hood scoop. I'll send the specs to Space Junk so he can approve the design for me....

a custom intake is not worth it, bottom line...

I speak from experience, not out of spite...

don't bother asking how I did it, where I got the parts from, ect... cause this crap is LONG gone in favor of the original stock intake
