Need help ASAP! 3VZE coolant drain plug location
Hello,
I'm currently posting from under my truck lol. Thank god for smartphones.
I'm attempting to do a full coolant flush after discovering that I have green fluid. The service manual is quite vague, so I'm not sure if I have the right bolt or not. From the searching I've done, I've found that they're almost impossible to get to without pulling the motor...
The image below is on the passanger side of the motor. I'm posting two images, one with a pen pointing to the bolt in question, and one without the pen for a bigger view of the general location.
The bolt there, right by the grounding wire...
As for the drivers side, it seems to be right above the oil dip stick entry point, behind the motor mount so I think that one is gonna stay there.

You should be able to get a good drain by draining the rad and taking off the bottom rad hose and taking out the thermostat...I think.
Not to bring an old debate back to life or anything...but don't worry too much about the green...I run it in one of my veezys and never had a problem.

Everything went better than expected
Could only get 8 of the 10 litres needed into my motor though, including bringing the reservoir to full. Drove around a bit, and gunna let it sit over night and see if I can get the rest in there. It seemed to take quite a while too, even with burping via the top radiator hose. Managed to get my flush water perfectly clear after 3 flushes just by opening the one drain plug I posted above.
Does anyone know if the 10L listed in the service manual includes what goes into the reservoir?
And yes, I've heard of some people sticking to green without an issue, but for me, it's just piece of mind. I'm trying to stretch this motor out as long as possible, because when the HQ goes or it throws a valve, it's coming out for good...

green or red, as long as you change the coolant out within the recommended schedules, nothing will ever go wrong
