Check timing
Verify plug wires and firing order
Replace vacuum lines- all
Check grounds

Too early to think of more.

Red face

Post where you live someone who just lives for that engine could be close.

So I guess you bought a truck not running unless the body and interior are perfect I hope it was scrap price.

Fuel filter changed with new pump??

How does the Air Filter look ??

I would say you have your work cut out for you.

I totally agree with you. I see ads all the time: Truck not running needs ???? (some easy to replace part) everything else is in perfect condition asking #### (top price).
If the vehicle is not running it is scrap until proven other. Unless it has some serious parts or build that make it worth while.
