Need help with 22re, studdering and dieing

Hello everyone, two seperate problems happened to me as I was leaving work in the runner. First of all i get into the truck and when i went to start the key i heard crack sound like a lightbulb died and the truck was dead. When i tried to crank it nothing, all the lights were dead and so was the alarm system. Then when i opened up the hood to jump the truck i touched the negative battery terminal and the power came back (alarm started going off) and the truck started without problems.

(Start of the next problem)
Then as i was driving home, as I'm slowing down at a light, the truck starts studdering like it wants to die, and eventually stalls. I try to crank it and it starts but starts studdering and dies. Any touch of the gas peddal stalls it almost imediately. After about 10-15 minutes of trying to start it it eventually started to run decently with only a bit of studdering and I ended up babying it home. After about 15 minutes of driving everything was back to normal and the truck is now running great. This stalling happens about once every 2 weeks, but it never used to take this long to stop studdering.

Anyone have any ideas or advice as to what it could be. I'm thinking fuel filter but im not sure.

BTW sorry about the huge read, and thanks for any help

Check to see if your intake hose is leaking. That's usually my problem. A small air leak will make it run really bad just like you describe. Check it closely.
