I'm I'm a process of building a front and rear bumper for my 89 4runner. The front needs lights and a winch the rear needs a trailer reciever hitch. Any plans would help and dimensions with pics would be great... I'd really appreciate any help... Thanks guys

Dude just find pics of bumpers you like and check em out from multiple angles and draw up your own plans - you might find something along the way that you'd want to change or adapt to better fit your particular truck.

I ordered the TrailGear winch plate. The way I figure, it uses 4 bolting points AND provides a fairlead mount... perfect foundation for making a bumper.

I like plate bumpers (ala ARB for example) over the DOM tubing rock bumpers. After researching plate bumper builds I scaled a picture of my 4Runner on AutoCAD (I'm a drafter) and made plans for one! Attached below is a 3D rendering (also AutoCAD). Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to building it. My other projects are hogging up time



Someone out there wrote a thread on a custom bumper for a 1st gen pickup that looked similar BUT included lockable storage compartments on either sides of the winch! I may incorporate this later after the initial bumper is constructed.
