Dropped my tranny today. Had a vacuum port that was capped. I'd rather just plug it with a bolt... but was wondering what the purpose of this line was?

looking at pictures of mine when we dropped it, looks like I have a rubber plug over the end.

Mine was capped with a rubber plug as well, but I removed it for the photo.

The mystery deepens...

mabey so you can "speed" fill the tranny

thats wierd

probably for your tranny oil pressure gage.....

no for real I have no idea either. on mine there is a steel plug instead of the hose fitting.
