My new 1995 4Runner project

I recently purchased a 1995 2wd autotrans 4Runner for $580. It has the dreaded 3.0 and it's blown.
The vehicle has a lot of pros which is why I purchased it, good body, good frame, clean interior, good tires, trailer hitch receiver.
The bad, blown 3.0.

I've come seeking info and insight on what would be involved with swapping in a 3.4 from a 3rd gen.
If it is going to be a horrendous todo and painfully expensive this truck will get listed on Craigslist for $500 and sold down the river.
