My Lower Ball Joints Have Straight Grease Fittings - Impossible to Reach.

Is this normal? They seem like they should be 90 degree fittings. You can't get a grease gun to them. Weird.

Maybe after market parts? Just get a flex line for the grease gun, that should take care of the problem.

Solution:

Turn the wheel full lock to the right, grease the left joint.
Then turn the wheel full lock to the left and grease the right joint.

Mine are the same way

you can also get a grease needle, it just sticks on the grease gun and its like a 18 gauge needle an just stick it threw the rubber boot and pump away. auto zone and places like it have them its like 3 bucks, comes in real handy with newer cars and trucks cause no one believes in greasable stuff anymore

That's because no one thinks that the vehicle they built will last 300K++ miles. That and there is the fact that almost 90% of the folks out there still take a vehicle to a dealer for a repair.

I fear for these folks if they ever have to turn a wrench to get themselves back home.

you don't have to when there's cell phones just call a tow truck, or even better yet, your insurance co. if you have roadside service like I do, which I have yet to use, lol (but for $2 more a month, it's nice to know that just in case )

Wish mine would have been greasable, I probably wouldn't have to be replacing them right now. I know that I fill the new boots up with two different types of grease when I put them on, I like the idea if using one of those grease needles to put more in. Probably wont worry about it with the new ones in and the old ones lasting for 200,000+ miles but just out of curiosity what type of grease would you put in?

I dont really think the grease matters for daily drivin. I just run some regular ol suspension and chassis grease (its red). I just grease my stuff every oil change or every other depending on what ive been doin.
