my front end has some slop...
I noticed today that if I grab my rotor and wiggle it UP AND DOWN it has very very slight play in it. Now normally on my solid axle runner that would mean I need to fiddle with the bearings....But this is my DD 88 runner ifs with auto hubs (not add) and I figured the same thing BUT the truck feels fine and the other side has equal play. What do you guys think. Typically I would have checked the bearings by now (which I can do in about 4.2 seconds due do to my birf breaking abilities ) But I got as far as the auto hub. The Auto hub looks scary and im not sure I want to mess with it. But maybe im just a ˟˟˟˟˟.
Since both sides are the same and the truck rides great im reluctant to tear it down, am I missing something here? What do you guys think.

Two things.
First, is it ONLY the rotor moving? Or is the entire spindle moving?
If the spindle moves, you have bad ball joints.
If it is only the rotor, you will need to repack. After you pull the auto hub out (never done this with auto hubs, So you'll have to check with someone else) check the large hub nuts and make sure they are tight. Failure to install the locking tab washer between them correctly can result in loosening, and the phenomenon you describe.

If you go in there to repack the bearings, get rid of those auto hubs (they unlock in reverse) and do the manual hub conversion.

I even have a nice little kit for it on my website, or 3 different options.
