Well I got my body lift on Thursday and we went to 4 10 hour days at work, so I now get fridays off. The weather was awesome this past week up until today - glad I got that lift on in time. Anyways, I apologize for not having more pictures, I just wanted to get this thing done but it wasn't too difficult and I did still remember to take a before picture. The sun was kinda in the way so the before isn't the greatest, but atleast the pic angles are similar so you can hopefully get an idea. 1" isn't all that much lift, but it was what I wanted and I am VERY pleased with it.

I do have to make a few notes, this lift was a lot easier than I expected, the only thing I ran into was I had to take off part of my intake tubing to get to the bolt for the steering shaft. Other than that and it being a little time consuming it went fairly easy and was a piece of cake. I never had a fan shroud on this truck since I've bought it so I knew that would not be an issue for me... I bought the bumper brackets but have not put them on yet. I was going to do it today but the weather has permitted me from doing so... I actually don't think that gap is too bad and I think my next mod is going to be a tube bumper anyways so I might just leave it how it is...

Had I of known this was going to be this simple, I may have gone with the 2" lift even though it's a little more involved. I'm still pleased with how it sits and I currently have 31" tires, I really like this size and will probably stay at this size and end up just getting something a little more aggressive. So what do you guys think? I am happy to answer any questions you guys have as well.

Is the front bumper hanging down too low? Isn't that supposed to get moved up on a bracket?

Started at 12:30.. ended about 5:30 but that was taking my time pulling back the carpet to get to the top of the bolts and slowly putting everything back together. Also messed around for awhile, had some lunch and took a seperate break to drink a beer. Had I just taken off the intake tubing at first instead of trying to get around it to the steering shaft, probably would have taken 3.5-4 hours solid. Also messed around for awhile on the internet looking up certain things with that steering shaft.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I really think the height I'm at now really does suit my 31's. If I were to go bigger I'd want atleast 3"+ of lift, but that's coming next year...

Also, 4Crawler is great. Roger has always been more than willing to help me and responded to emails quickly. I also have his panhard drop bracket.

Looks good! It's surprising how much of a difference just 1" makes in the look of a rig. Any issues with the shifters or brake lines or anything?

I wonder if the relocation brackets take into account aftermarket bumpers? I'd love to do a 1" so I can get some more room for my rock slider install but don't want to have my MC bumpers farther away from the body.

Yeah, 1" was just enough lift to what I already had, sits just where I want it. No issues with brakes or shifters thats why I opted for 1". Thought about doing a 2" but that is where you run into having to extend some things. I think at 2" you have to extend steering and shifter linkage but the way my steering shaft was, I could have probably got away with not having to extend it at 2". I still think even up to 3" you don't need to extend brake lines but don't quote me on that. I also know most aftermarket bumpers are not made for body lifts cause the brackets work different for the stock bumper as where the aftermarket bumpers bolt to the front crossmember but you already know that... I've seen some people mock up stuff to make aftermarket bumpers work with a body lift but 1" isn't enough for me to worry about a little gap with a tube bumper.

I didnt extend any lines on my install. Just the steering colum plate and spacer.

To make my front and rear marlin bumpers fit all that was required was some new brackets to be made and welded on.

The front needs to be re-inforced if I want it to hold up to the task of winching...

looks great man! ya did a nice job! Now all you need is a front a rear bumper...speaking of that is it not illegal to not have a rear bumper where you are? Cause I got pulled over when I didn't have mine on.

Looks great. Roger is great to work with and I love his products. My 1" lift went in very easily.

Did you buy the poly body bushings? I may remove mine....they make my truck rattle.

Looks good! I'm either going with Roger's 2" BL, when I get back to Wa, or the 1". I haven't decided yet.....

i was actually thinking about a 1.5" BL... from what i was reading in waaaay old threads, a lot of the guys running the 1.5" are stoked with it...

the 1" looks killer tho with the black rims and tires...
it almost make your truck look like its floating on a black cloud...
