Thumbs up MR2 3 spoke steering wheel in my 88 truck!

I installed an MR2 3 spoke steering wheel in my 88 last night, it was a direct swap!! The horn and turn signal cancel are the exact same in the MR2. The wheel is about an inch smaller in diameter, and sits a little further out than the stock wheel but has such a better feel, it has a nice grip and is fatter!! The only downfall is that it says MR2 on the horn button, which doesnt bother me! I have annother wheel that I bought that is clean, its from an 88 MR2 that had under 70k on the clock and looks just like the one I put in my truck if anyone wants it, I paid $45 for it, so $45+ shipping if you want to do the swap PM me!

I agree 100%, Ive been thinking of a way to re-do the horn button... Ive tried a 4 runner wheel and a 91 LC wheel, both use a larger diameter horn comutator and turn signal cancel system. The MR2 wheel really is a direct fit function wise... I told my GF that MR2 was the code name for my truck she hasnt ever heard of either! LMAO

Without measuring Id say its at least an inch smaller in diameter, having the smaller wheel makes my truck easier to maneuver on the back roads around here, It doesn't feel like Im turning it as far to go around turns, I like it!

I was at pic n pull last weekend and saw a steering wheel on an mr2 that said toyota in the center instead od mr2, so you can find them both ways.

all he might need to do is, just replace the center piece, if they are the same style
