Move transmission to replace T-Case?

94 4runner V6 4wd is at the dealer. They indicated that the transmission cooler leaked into the transfer case causing part of the drivetrain that fits into the t-case to come loose and cause the vibrations that I brought it in for. They said they have to "drop' the transmission to replace either the cooler or the t-case. Does this sound right to you guys?
