More head trouble on 89 runner 22re

I replaced head and gasket several weeks ago and today I took it back to the shop. It ran like the awful, the mechanic pulled the valve cover and voila the valves were to tight causig the cam to be chewed up The owner won't make good on mistake. Is there any thing else to be worried about? Do you guys think I should be concerned about the bottom end of my engine?

I think you should be concerned about getting them to make right on a mistake they made. A cam isn't cheap.

edit for clarity: Did the shop replace the head or did you replace it?

There's yer problem... Can you change your own oil? You had to learn to do that, right?

Well you're not going to learn to work on your truck by paying somebody way more than it's worth to do it.

If you can change your own oil you can change a head gasket on a 22R/E. The key is to take small steps.

It can be done and if you're inclined, easy. Get an FSM or at the very least a Chiltons... Notice I said Chiltons not Haynes! Stay away from Haynes!

All i could say was Kripe i gotta take this head off. I never have done anything more than an altenater or starter motor. Well i labeled, read fsm and used some of superbleeders images to get me through it. PS come to find out head was cracked, got a new one, blessing in disquise.
