I've seen many posts that are similar to what I have but are not quite what I have because most are manuals and that means a world of difference. Bought this one for my daughter, mostly because of how clean it is, especially on the underside. Starts right up and ticks like a normal 22r/re and has a MASSIVE amount of power low end, could pull my house off the foundation with it.......But when you get around 40-50 and keep the pedal steady it loses a bunch of power and seems doggy...until you mash the pedal to the radiator and get an instant response. It idles...well..OK, but never tries to die and starts without fail every time. New cap and rotor, NGK plugs and wires...something that struck me that you don't hear driving, but do hear under the hood. When you run the accel from the linkage on the throttle body/intake and give it a quick stab you hear a slight pop from the airbox, almost like a backfire. Any ideas, before I tear into it?
