misfire/bucking

I have a 1991 Sr4 V6 5-speed 196K
Recently its been bucking and feeling like its misfiring. It not consistent and has no real pattern to its madness. It starts right up and goes through the cold idle cycle as normal.

I tried to fix this by changing plugs a wires. (NGK coppers with carquest wires)

Next step is to change the cap+rotor and fuel filter.

Any other suggestions?

the headgasket has been changed, not burning any coolant or smoking. Fuel mileage seems to be suffering 1-2 mpgs

fuel issues- sounds like my first post on here- just searched for it but realized i never filled everyone in what the problem was. thanks annoying rob for ur help... My issue was loss of fuell pressure- took me a while to find it because it was a new fuel pump and prefilter. the sock got clogged by junk in the tank that i didn't see when i was changing it out. check ur fuel pressure under load and see if it drops out.
