Metal shaving in rear third?
So i just installed my new aussie locker in the 4runner and broke it in per the instructions. I then proceeding to "test" it out at an offroad park. It worked to perfection. I couldn't ask for a better setup. I did happen to flood my engine out in a river and due to the prolonged exposure under water, I checked my diffs. To my surprise I found A LOT of metal shavings on the inspection bolt. Now either the locker was installed wrong or this is normal wear!?!?!?!?

abecedarian: I did extend them. Just didn't know if they worked or not.
Jay: the shavings probably would add up to a dime's worth of metal.
I don't think I messed up the install since I actually had my prof. mechanic buddy help me. Please do keep in mind that there wasn't ANY shavings in the oil when drained during the locker install.
I guess since I know the locker is performing perfect my only question was: Does the locker wear slightly during the break-in period?
