Metal ID needed for Front IFS steering arms on Knuckle

As the title says:

Any one know what type of metal the arms that come off the knuckle are made out of.

I'm talking about the part that you attach your TRE to, essentially the steering arm.

I need to know because I need to know if I can weld it to mild steel or not.

Thanks
