I personally think chevys are great too we've had 5 chevys and we currently have 3 and one of them is a suburban with a 454 running extremely strong at 325,000 what kind of chevy did u get? And what toyota r u getting rid of?

Chevys aint to bad, and the 3.slow is junk. If I was to buy a pre 95.5 or 96 yota I would definitely not want the 3.0 slow... If you buy a 3.slow then expect the HG replacement in the future. This is the big reason I held out buying a yota truck or runner till I found one in my price range with the 3.4L V6.

My 3.0 has been good. I don't know for how long but it's never had the head gasket replaced by Toyota & the previous owners never did it themselves; going on 200K & still feels like a new motor to me.

the toyota is a 94 4runner with the 3.0 automatic. it has had the HG recall done and the steering rod recall done. I have all service records since it was pretty much brand new. i bought it from my cousin in texas and he parked it in the garage every night. NO RUST.new front 31-10.5 goodyears and goodyears on the back w/ 50% tread left appx. very minor door dings and very clean interior with a little tear in the drivers seat. 4x4, 110,000 miles and a manik brush guard, and I just had 15% tint put on about 2 months ago.

would it be crazy to ask 5,200?? any way i got a 97 chevy single cab short wide, with the 5.7 vortec 350 with a shift kit in it. 112,000 miles and filthy , nasty interior, ive got the seat, carpet and door panels out right now cleaning them up. the carpet is gonna be replaced and needs a mirror. ive shampood the seat 3 times and its finally tan again.yay!! any one have any opinions on line-x vs. rhino liners??

why all the chevy hating?
when it comes down to power, thats the truck you want. toyota just can't deliver that kind of power. (maybe now they can with the tundras)
they're pretty damn reliable trucks too. i mean, everything needs parts eventually. but like one dude said....325k on a 454....thats something to be proud of. think about how many of those old c10s are still on the road. those things seem to run forever. now, mind you, they get about 12mpg, but oh well
i like chevys...old chevys, anyways
its that v8 sound...through some dual flowmasters...oh man it sounds so good
