Manual Trans not staying in Even Gears

I fixed the even gear shifting problem a little while ago after doing my body lift. The problem has come back though. The shifter only stays in 2nd and 4th gear as long as I am accelerating. As soon as I let go of the skinny pedal and a bump comes, the shifter pops out of 2nd or 4th whichever I am in.

Could this be a problem with my shifter seat? I removed the inner shift boot and neither the inner or outer boot are binding. The shifter is completely untouched when in even gears but still has this problem.

Any help is much appreciated

Yes it it most likely the rubber seat and little bushing. This same thing was happening to me. I thought it was because of my body lift, but it wasnt it was because of the seat and bushing.

Hurry up and get that fixed because its not good to have your transmission poppin outa gear

So it is 2 different parts, the bushing and shifter seat? So I would have to buy the plastic replacement seat for $10 and would be required to replace the bushing with the $6 Marlin crawler replacement?

Its your shifter seat bushing.
This happened to me as well.

I ended up going OEM but have heard good things about Marlin Crawlers replacements

I hope it isn't that! that would be horrible. I put in my order for the 2 parts. $20 total for the 2 parts and USPS first class.

Installed in an hour and now it works BEAUTIFULLY! Best $20 I've ever put into my truck. Highly recommend to anyone with this problem. Plus Marlin Crawler sends you 1 BIG (5" dia.) and 1 small sticker to put on your truck! Advertisement I'm happy to participate in!
