Manti Utah offroad show Pics
I went to the "Extreme offroad, rock crawling and motocross" show today in Manti Utah.
Pretty interesting. I rolled up where the rock crawling event was and at first I thought I was the only Yota in there and then I saw a blue 93 (pics below). I came too late to enter so I wandered around taking pictures. Forgive the photos. I used my new i phone which I am still getting use to.
The rock crawling event was so so. Mostly Heeps and a few truggies. One Dodge and one Chevy both blew their front ends and one sprayed tranny fluid all over the course
The freestyle motocross was pretty cool. There was even a speed metal band playing in the shadow of the Mormon Temple ahhahaha. Worse yet the Mormon Miracle Pagent is going on on the lawn in front of the temple. I am sure hardcore speedmetal echoing throughout the temple grounds while the re enactment of of the Book of Mormon went over well
My nose even caught the sweet smell of home (Humboldt!) Dios Mio hahahhah
Oh yea...you ask what rig won the rockcrawling event?.......the Yota!

This Yota had ARB rear, Detroit front, SA, Dirty Thirties, Hydro Assist, 38's, Dual Ultimate Marlin T case, and a slew of metal fab just to name a few things. The owner and his wife used to build and wheel Heeps..now its all Toyota!

OH MAN! I am curious how Manti city managed to co ordinate this event durning the Mormon Pagent. Check the band! and the audience! ahhahha
This Heep broke BOTH axles and punctured the gas tank
Joseph Smith probably never envisioned this

Damn bro, You went all the way to utah just for an offroad show ?!?!
You must have your hands on some time and gas money
Anyway, Great pics, The last one is my fav with the motox rider flying in front of the church !!

Here you go..
The guy was REALLY pissed and was yelling and cussing so I didnt dare get any close ups.
The front diff slammed into that rock and broke everything! Including the Transmission.
I am not sure what this rig is (Nissan?) but it didnt fare well either. Broke rear axle and radiator.
