1995 4runner - v6 ..i am almost postive i have spun a a main bearing..but i could have thrown a rod, now i havepriced parts for both problems....but if i build a rebuild kit, i have heard several estimates...the one i am asking about is.....the machining,,...what all would have to be done? my labor will be done free...so what should cost for this be???? any ideas..

if it starts and runs i dont think you threw a rod. Usually that comes with a hole in your block. Welcome to YT and good to see another TN guy here. Sorry i cant shed any more light on your situation

if you tossed a main....that might need to be machined/polished, but as for the cylinders, you could probably get away with a hone on those.
