LSPV bleeding (rusted bleeder valve)

Anyone have any tricks for opening up the bleeder screw on the LSPV other than the usual, lots of PB blaster (I do not want to use a torch so close to the rubber piece).

I do not want to do any brake work until I know I can get all the bleeders open.

Thanks,
Scott

Is it rounded off, or are you afraid of breaking it off? If it is just rounded off/rusted oversize, you could use a Vise Grip to get it off then just buy a new one.

my guess is that it's seized. lots of PB blast, use a pick to try to remove any corrosion from around where the threads meet the LSPV. maybe a tiny amount of heat, but that's not good as you *could* boil the brake fluid, thus removing it's hydraulic properties. (as in, it'll compress- which is bad)

get yourself a good set of metric flare wrenches. rock it back and forth, and don't rush it. it's like foreplay.

I was afraid of breaking it. After soaking it and letting it sit for a while I went and it opened up just fine with a socket wrench. At first I was using the midget 10mm wrench but when I moved up to a 10mm socket wrench that took care of it.

There was tons of air in the LSPV and now my brakes are great.
