Looking (who would have thought)

That an EGR Time Delay switch would cost $255 ? Now 1st off what does this thing do? Sorry I have an 89 truck 2wd auto trans and a 190,000 miles one it. My overdrive is not working so im going thru the step. i was replacing the coolant one right next to it, when it broke free so did my knuckle and the delay switch. Its my dd so i can use some help. If anyone has a partout or a better price than $255 will be a huge help. Im am trying to be an independent contractor so i need my truck. Any 411 on the od problem will help too. Would like to drive on the freeway again . Stuck in Cali.

scroll down, click "fitment," and you will learn for yourself.

By the way, this is almost certainly the part you broke, but it has nothing to do with the EGR. It is commonly called the "Cold Start Time Delay Switch," and it shuts off the Cold Start Injector if you are cranking the engine for a long (temperature dependent) time.

PS: By far the best way to confirm this is the right part is to print the diagram page, write the possible part number on the page, write your VIN on the page, and take it to a dealer. Totyota moves part numbers around a bit, and if you make the counter-man's job easier, he can definitely help you.
