Looking For Some Local Help For My 4Runner - Eastern PA

I just installed a rebuilt 3.0 in my 94 runner and can't seem to keep it running and it makes a hell of a noise when it is running. The motor was bought privately. The the previous motor had a spun bearing and made noise and now this one sounds the same but I cant get it to idol to be able to diagnose it , If there is someone out there with more Toyota exp than me near New Ringgold, PA and willing to pay me a visit to listen to it let me know.

Any help would be great,
Thanks

I can't say that I have more experience, but I might be able to drop by sometime during the week of 1/28 - 2/1. I can always make the trip and stop by EZ Pull. I can't say for sure, but idle problems sound like you might have some problems with vacuum lines. Or possibly timing? I'll be on vacation on the dates above, but I can only stop by around lunchtime. I have to get my kids on/off the bus.

Just throwing this out there but did you remember to plug in the AFM on top of the air box? I can tell you for a fact that your engine will start then die shortly after if you let it try and idle when you forget to do this.... ask me how I now

All connections are made, as I just had to install a new AFM. There are some cracks in the end of the air tube at the Throttle body, may it be sucking some air around that area? How sensitive are these engines to air leaks?

any air leaks will affect tuning. Try taping the cracks with duct tape and see if that helps.
