Talking Looking for the right truck rims.

My grandfather gave me his 1994 Yota Truck this past year. I would like to put new rims on it and replace the stock ones. Two things...

I do not know the lug pattern to even look at the right rims.

Do you have any rims in mind? Ones that give the truck a good solid look, but still keep the truck look. I do not like when people put tuner wheels on their trucks.

Thanks!

Lug pattern for 4wd is 6x5.5 which is readily available in about anything. Are you trying to keep the old school Toyota look?

Awesome that you have your grandfathers truck; welcome to Yotatech! Look for the SR5 rims, they have the right back spacing and look awesome, I've been looking for a good set for over a year. I'll gladly trade my centrelines and $$ for some if I find a set.

i really like the American Racing rims.

I am also looking now to lift my truck a few inches. Any good kits for an old yota? I was thinking rough country, but maybe you guys have a good idea. I don't wanna lift it to much because i dont want to buy bigger tires.

Also, I am thinking about getting the bed lined with line-x this summer. is there a cheaper option that isn't crap?

forget what everyone else has stated about wheel specs for your truck - you have a 2wd pickup and a different lug pattern/wheel size than the 4wd models that most on this forum own. your truck needs a 5-lug wheel. stock specs for your wheels are 5x114.5 metric (or 5x4.5 standard). you will probably either have 13" or 14" diameter and around 4.5" backspacing. there are tons of options for aftermarket wheels, but if you want to hit up a junk yard or CL to find some wheels off another car, you can definitely do that as well since that is a popular factory-spec wheel size of other makes. Wheel Database

clean truck btw

I agree, you have a gem.

Yotatech is a great place to learn and familiarize yourself with proper maintenance. Be sure to maintain the cooling system well. Also, the next time you do a tune up (aka valve adjustment) take a peak down the timing cover and check the TC guide.

I also have a '94 2wd pickup but not as nice as your Grandfather. I'm also in the market for some alloy wheels. Thanks for the link, highonpottery!

It looks like many factory wheels will fit the yota!

Kirk
