Looking for local advice in a pinch.
I have been doing some searching, looking threw the archives and e-mailing members with questions. Then I got a brite idea to ask here.
I am doing my best to help out my brother with chasing down an engine running issue that he has had for some time and can not drive his truck because of it.
I would like a local Colorado person to check it out. My brother and I are wondering if there is anyone here in Denver that can take some time to help us out? I would be willing to pay the gas for that person.
My poor brother has a '94 with a 3vz-e that has been down for months and he HAS to get it back up to drive around asap. He's been smootching the use of our parents car since then and that gets old, fast.
I think the truck has a spark problem. We've replaced the plugs, wires, and the engine is 2years old. The distributor is new as well. Since the Air Flow Sensor is original and the ECU is too, I think it may be one of those. It runs rough now and it's not drivable. The timing looks fine. The new plugs show unspent fuel in runners 1 & 3 but with no check engine light.
??? We're puzzeled. Can you offer any local contacts for advice or to check it out in person, please? I would like to be able to borrow the use of a Air Flow meter or ECU to diagnose is possible? Thanks for any replies asap!!
