Looking to add a switch to operate my sliding glass from inside the cargo area

I'm in the process of building a sleeping platform in the back of my 88 4runner, and I was hoping to add a switch so that I can raise and lower my rear window from the cargo area to make it easier to get in and out of the runner. I want to be able to operate the window without the key being in the ignition, and I was just hoping someone could help me locate the correct wires, and recommend a certain switch.

Thanks,
Eric

Is the window on that year of 4Runner operable using the key in the tailgate lock cylinder like the 2nd and 3rd gen 4Runners tailgate windows are? If so, that's the best place to tap into for your switch. The wires going to the lock cylinder already operate the window without having your key in the ignition.

i took the easy way out. i have a 93 4runner and the key in the tailgate wouldnt turn. so i disconnected the wires from it and hid a switch in the license plate trim. i used a dremel to make the hole in the plastic and a uni bit to make the hole in the metal behind it. sealed it all up with silicone ( the backside of the switch ) . i used a spare switch i had for the tailgate window just like the one in the center console. (very flat)
so now ( in parking lots) i put my key in and hit the switch with the other hand to make it look like you have to use the key
