I have an Aussie in the rear of mine and love it. I've only had a chance to go on one "real" trail with it so far but it worked like a charm. My rig is a DD/camping vehicle that's been built on a budget and the Aussie was the best buy for the money and the wheeling that I do IMHO. If I ever decide to lock the front I'll be dropping an Aussie in there also.

I didn't mean to scare you, Stagger!!!! I was just going by what I've read. What I meant by the Aussie being a lil cheaper, I just meant for the wallet, not in quality. I've read good things 'bout both lockers. I'd love to get an Aussie for my BEAST, but they don't make 1 for my v6. So I'll be looking into either a Lockright, or the Toyota E-locker.

Sorry for not making myself clearer!!!!!

And your welcome for the Aussie review bump, Matt!!!

So...Any of you v6 owners ever thought about getting a 2pinion rear third with the same gear ratio as your 4 pinion shoving it in the back of your truck with an aussie, I always thought about that for you...3.slow guys...
didnt know if that would work or not, but it sounds right in theory..?

No worries dude! I am still waiting for the reviews from scuba. I still have not heard/read a bad thing about the Aussie other then from the delirium's I wheel with. I searched google even for Aussie problems/failure and turned out to be install error.

Sounds good in theory, Scuba. I've thought 'bout that as well, I just don't know if the 2 pinion would be strong enuff for the v6.

But after getting stuck up here once, I'm investing in a locker....

The v-6/Turbo is very similar to the 4 cylinder unit the main differences is that the 3rd member housing is thicker and has more ribbing, 4 pinions and the carrier bearings are bigger.

Like freak said, I don't think that the 3rd from a 4 cylinder would be able to stand up to the V-6 over time.

See i don't know. I have only run the v6 diff. When i SAS mine soon i am looking at a differential currently a 4cyl with a detroit ez locker. So same principles as the other lunchbox lockers, and we will see how it holds up.
