Locker Testing Question
I've searched and haven't found any posts with my question.
I installed a Lock-Right in my 8" V6 (4 pinion) locker (following Zuk's tut). I still have to bleed the brake line, fill it with oil, and drop her on the ground for real testing. The instructions give a testing procedure of putting the tranny in gear, turning one tire forward until it locks, then turn the other one in reverse to make sure the locker is functioning properly.
Well I followed that procedure with my friend on one side and me on the other and it doesn't unlock, so it feels spooled.
My question is: Has anybody ever not have success with this test and still have a functional locker?
An additional question: would adding gear oil help this test?

I left my tranny out of gear for the test. YOu only need one person. Turn one wheel (the other will turn as well), then jerk it the other way. It should unlock.
The suction from the grease may be gluing the "gears" together. Try adding gear oil and going for a drive.
