Lock Knob Holder Install?
I cannot seem to install the lock knob holder (trim around lock knob on doors, my driver side was missing when I bought it). Does anyone know how to do this? It seems so easy, but it just keeps popping out...
To make matters worse, I tried to remove the passenger side piece to inspect it to make sure the part I had was correct and broke it . Here is a picture of the new one and old (broken one). Any ideas?

To melt those tabs (also, not sure what to use to melt them) or epoxy them, you would need to pull the door panel off and access those legs from the back side on the new piece is in position.
A local auto body shop may give you a hint.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably try to use a flat tip on a soldering iron to melt the post. If I come across any earth shattering revelations, I'll be sure to share.

they usually crack and break again anyway... mine came with all of them and idiots who are impatient to get out of the truck usually "pull up the lock" and grab these little guys too and end up breaking them. rather than waiting for me to turn the truck off ( locks pop open when the car is turned off )

Sorry for the late reply, the part number that I got from the dealer is 69751-12030-J0, they had to order it for me; I still haven't installed them yet, too many other things to do. Let me know if you get one installed so I know how it goes.
Good luck!
