A Little Engine Bay Detail on a Saturday
Just did a little engine bay detail. Pretty easy to do if you have the right products-degreaser and water based dressing.

I used a degreaser first. You could use Formula 409 and that would be ok. You want the engine to be barely mildly warm.
Then I used elbow grease and a quality car wash soap with a soft micro fiber cloth. Being careful not to break anything.
After that, a water based dressing. Has to be water based. Spray on the engine related parts/hoses, close the hood and let set for 20 minutes. Then, mop up any excess with a terry cloth towel.

Oh, the truck has 161,xxx miles on it. It was filthy and there is more cleaning to go.
I'm sure the engine will crap out once I have it ready to put in the Arizona Toyota Museum.
