God I hate to ask this but I have no way to measure right now and have a friend that's going to machine some blocks for me in during lunch.

Can one of you tell me what the length and width of a lift block is? Or better yet do one of you have the length and width of the spring perch memorized?

In my neck of the woods...the bigger the blocks the better...

Yeah you'd think that a tape measure would be an easy thing to come up with but we're running a little short in the office. I've looked all over the net and all I've found so far is that the springs are 2.5 inches wide.......


There's got to be something around here.

Well, personally I won't help with this. Its not to be a jerk, as I'm not, but I cannot condone blocks on any truck.

Blocks are dangerous both to your truck and to others around you. I hope when they get chucked out of there at high velocity, they don't damage anything expensive, and don't hurt anyone around you.

For less than 30 dollars you could build longer shackles, and have a much better performing lift, and a much safer one.

blocks arent dangerous unless you have more than 2.5" blocks or they are stacked. As long as you have small blocks that are done right everything will be fine. theres a lot more things that are dangerous about lifted trucks than some 2" blocks...




I want to say that you want them 2.5" wide, 6" long, and with a 5/8" divot in the center

blocks are stupid... don't do it, get shackles.. I JUST seen a 05-08 ranger on a flat bed...with axle rapp and ripped to box ...and i was like hmm...and it had 2'' blocks...IF that...maybe 1.5

you can get away with 1". I've seen 2" get spit out. I've never seen bigger than that, and I don't want to.
