ok..so im gonna dig at your brains for a bit..cuz idk how to figure it out...i see everybody doing the LED gauge and dash lights conversions using the superbrightleds.com website..well..i know the bulbs i want..but i have NO CLUE as to how many i need..i want to do the enitre gauge cluster..and the warning lights, turn signal indicators, and the 4wd light, and the heater controls, which ones do i need? and how many do i need?..all these trucks that this gets done on is like 1989 and up...never see any 84-88 trucks or 4runners get worked over like that..

so how many bulbs and what kind?!?..thanks alot guys!!!

I know the gauge clusters are different, so I'm sure they have a different bulb setup


either way, I'm no help with a 2nd gen I did it to my 91 though; standard model cluster just takes 2 194 stlye bulbs for lighting, and 194 style bulbs for all the other dummy lights. Couldn't tell ya about the one in the AC/Heater contols; I know it's not a 194, it's tiny

mines the DLX model..ext cab..22R 5spd..no tach in the cluster..seems to be just the standard cluster..

Just get 3 #194's and 5 #74's. That should cover you for the cluster and heater... Tip. Get extra bulbs. I had one go out and it was a pita to order one bulb and get it shipped....

They are not that expensive when you buy em all at once.

so we talkin like..2 of those..so 6 #194 and 10 #74's...or u mean just like a couple extra..lol..i dont wanna tear my dash apart...then have to run around with a couple lights different for a while..that'd suck ass...and i want to make sure that the bulbs will even work in a 84-86 dash..since nobody has ever done it in the 2nd gen trucks or 4runners..just in the 3rds..
