Leaf Springs

are there any other stock leaf springs that are direct fit for toyota's?...like mazda 4wd springs...nissan 4wd springs...rear leafs...for my 1986 x-tra cab 4x4.

i found some off of an '87 turbo (no motor...but still has R151 tranny..) they seem to be in new condition...for only $25 a piece..so i think i will get them and just swap them over...but if i could find some that are a direct fit that are stronger then i would get them...because i do occasionally haul some heavy loads..and it would be nice to have the extra ability without having my ass draggin the ground (not literal..just an expression).

thanks for the help!

ZUK Coil mod?
I think Mazda and Nissan are weaker, and smaller...

of course I could be wrong.

yea..mine are just saggin..and i need some new ones.. but im cheap..so junkyard specials are worth it..lol..i figured the mazda's and nissans were different lengths..of center bolt lengths...i would love to do 63" chevies..but my dad would kill me when i told him..or when he noticed the different springs..lol..

and also..are the leaf springs different for left and right sides????because the turbos spring on the driver side is nice..looks brand new.but the one on the right seems to be saggin a few inches..lol..all thats in the bed on that side is a empty toyota gas tank..so i think the shock might be blown..

theres also a toyota with no bed on it..and the rear springs are sittin about 2 inches off of the overloads...(from the end of the overload spring to the rest of the pack)..but i think it's cause of the bed being off..

Most shocks have nothing to do with ride height
The sagging passenger side spring is most likely due to the fuel tank.

Grab that second leaf pack and use some of those leaves to build up a new pack by adding them into the springs you have. Start by adding one leaf and if you need more lift or load capacity, add another one. Just make sure the leaves are staggered length-wise:

i dont really have the time to be breaking leaf packs apart..mainly because i only have about 1 hr a day to do work on my truck...sometimes 2hrs..because i got work at 3 o clock..and i leave my school at 2:30..

which is why i want direct bolt in replacements..i'd love to have like some 2" lift springs from a junkyard..but i'll settle for stock for now..cuz its higher than what i got now..lol

Be prepared, sometimes the sleves inside the bolts in the bushings can fuse together..
my 3 hour leaf job turned into a 2 day job

Probably will not find anything that is an exact fit, some information below:

Unless your springs have been off at some point in the past, you may find swapping out spring packs could be an involved process; spring hanger bolts rusted in place or shackle pins that won't come out. Adding a leaf or two is usually not too bad unless your u-bolts are messed up. Just jack up the rear end, drop some jack stands under the frame and put in the leaf and possibly a longer center pin and drop it back down. I think it took me most of a day to swap out my rear springs the first time, I was able to salvage and re-use all the stock hardware, but you may find yourself having to cut off bolts and then having to replace those parts.

The Zuk coil idea would be something that may fit your time requirements:

was thinking about the suggesting ProComp 33311 springs but I'm thinking you don't want 4-5" lift.

if i ever go with a 4in bracket lift up front..then i will most likely get some 4-5" procomp leafs..as they are cheap..and accomplish what i need them to..doubt i will ever o with a bracket lift...but if i do...it would be a 6in. and a 2" body lift..1.5" bj spacers..with like some 36's..maybe a 1" body lift..lol..i would go all out..lol locked front and rear..HD clutch..oooo yeeeaaaaa
