Well, you're putting on OLDER springs that are probably more worked in than your saggy ones..
I would buy new stock ones if i were you.. And buy new rear shocks as well.

shackles are another option although that might be considered "lifting" it.
my 86 sags. it looks funny, but i really dont mind it |

shackles won't help, they'll just move it down temporarily, and his springs will probably go into a negative arch..

I solved the "4Runner sag" on an '86 by installing add-a-leaf springs. The rear springs went from flat down against the overload leaves to a little higher than they were originally. I had to crank the torsion bars up very slightly to make it level. I got Pro Comp #13120 Add-A-Leaves from Amazon.com for $33.40 with free shipping. Easy and cheap way to solve the problem.

i put in an AAL, and it was in a used pickup, mind you.
My pickup, literally rides like pure hell. if i had more time i'd take the darn things out and deal with the saggy/soft ride. but i'm also going to get bigger tires next year >.> BTW i have the short-style ones.. get the longer ones, they aren't as harsh a ride.
