LCE Test pipe

Any of you out there running the test pipe from LCE? I'm thinking that I'll pull my cat and run that for a while and then just put my cat back in when it comes time for emissions. It'll be cheaper than buying a new cat.

Thoughts?

haha, ya im just messin, although thats what i did. i just welded in a pipe and eventually did a full system without a cat but i lived in nor cal where you only had to smog when you sold or bought a vehicle. ya id reccomend the test pipe, although its probably alot cheaper to go to an exhaust shop and have them make one, i made one in 20 minutes. its just a pipe and flanges.

What part of norcal did you live in? Smog's are required every two years...

Junkers...taking the cat out will most likely throw a CEL code, do you have an O2 sensor behind the cat?

No O2 behind the cat that I can find, just the one in front.

Maybe I should clarify that for bob.

I have a cat, it works but they tend to get stolen. I was planning on running a test pipe between emissions tests. That way I don't have some crack head stealing my cat. Make sense?
