Just picked up an 86' 4Runner

Hey guys! I just purchased this 86' 4Runner 4 cyl with 5 speed & 223k miles from the original owner for $2500. It has power everything! Cold A/C. Also has the sport seats. He has never taken the top off! I have the window sticker which the truck windowed for $16k. I just wanted to share my find with you all. I am planning to lift it soon...Hope to hit the dirt soon.

Good truck and fair price.

Good find in Cali, expecially when most of the things you find are rock crawlers for $5K or the rock crawler that ran out of money and barely runs for $1500.

Hard to find a good looking stock Toyota, again nice find.

NICE... That's alomost exactly how I got my truck, 223k 22re5spd, no rust. Mine's an 89tho. First thing I suggest is to fix the suspension, having had my run ner for almost 2 years when I finally went to a BJ spacer/OME leaf suspension, and MAN O MAN does it ever make a difference...

What was added...

Well in the small amount of time I have had it I added the following:

Downey Pro-Desert kit which includes: new 26mm torsion bars (cranked 2") new 3" leafs, and new shocks. I also added the Downey Steering stabilizer and Truss.

For rims and tires I used 32" BFG All Terrain's on Pro-Comp Rims.

Flowmaster 40 series muffler with new 2 1/4 pipe with a chrom tip.

New front grill, bumper with end caps and a valance that I purchased from ebay for $100 new!

Grant steering wheel.

Had new leather shift boot made and armrest.

Added a new cd player.

Tinted the windows dark including the sunroof.

Alarm with keyless entry.

I am planning on making a new tube pre-runner bumper for the back. But other then that I think I am done.

Couple of more Pics..
