Just purchased a 94 pickup. But has no jack tools. I'm sure they are compatible with other year yota's. What years might the be. Any help would be appreiated. I've already searched but did not find the info is was needing. Thanks K.

go to a junk yard/ebay/craigslist and pick up a stock bottle jack. make sure you also pick up the basic tool kit that goes with it - which contains the crank assembly that you'll need to use the jack as well as lower your spare tire.

for the garage, pick up a decent sized floor jack (2+ ton), some GOOD jack stands (4-6 ton), and some wheel chocks/blocks. i would also pick up one of those cheap package deals that have a small floor jack, a creeper, and 2x - 2-ton jack stands.

for the trails/emergency, get a hi-lift jack and some sliders w/slider adapter.

those should take care of all your jacking needs.

yes, thanks for all that. I know what I need, i just would like to know what years are compatible with my 94. Like lets say could I use the jack tools from a 97 runner or a 01 Tacoma? In short, what other Toyota years and models can I use for my 94? Thanks K.

A jack's a jack.
It'll work on any vehicle...
Just get all the stuff for the jack from the same vehicle

As far as I've been able to tell anything from 95 and earlier has the same exact jack setup, hope that helps. Dunno about anything after 95.

i think as long as you get a bottle jack that's meant for a Yota SUV/Truck with more ground clearance than a car, you'll be fine. i believe yota cars all come with scissor jacks.

Jack tools, meaning the tools not the bottle jack. Ive already determined 97 runners tools do not work I think I'll have to go with 95 or lower. I'm in need of the tool that lowers the spare. Sorry on my part if I did not describe it correctly. Thanks for the help. K.

i think that ALL toyota bottle jacks are pretty much identical no matter what the year - I looked really quick on eBay and saw that the ones for a newer Yotas look identical to my '93s. they should all have a little eyelet that needs to be rotated to extend/compress the jack vs a pump-style jack. the crank tool used for the jack is the same tool used to lower your spare tire. all it is is a long-shafted crank assembly that has a hook on the end and comes apart for easy storage.

i believe the only other tools in the kit are a lug wrench/tire iron and sometimes a flat-head prybar for hubcaps.
