I've got no 3rd or 4th gear

Ok, as the title says, I don't really have much of 3rd or 4th gear. This is recent, within the past few weeks, and has been getting worse. Soon, I won't be able to get into them at all I have a feeling.

1st, 2nd, and 5th gear all shift like butter, shift clean and don't grind or anything. 3rd and 4th are the problem gears. I grind them everytime unless I SLAM it into gear. If I try and shift smoothly into them, it will just grind and won't go into gear. It's hard to explain, but I'll try to. So, 1, 2, and 5th gear all go into themselves no problem, just like every transmission out there, you can feel it go into gear and whatnot. This is not that case with 3rd and 4th. My best way to describe it is is feels like somebody put a plate thats blocking me to go into these gears, but when I SLAM in into gear it'll go in. Once it's in gear, everything is ok. Rides fine, and never pops out. The clutch is brand new, has 2k miles on it along with the engine. The transmission was flushed and new fluid in it about 6 months ago. The clutch has been bled and the fluid is topped off. I drive the truck very hard and I will admit, I do abuse the transmission, but never in 3rd or 4th gear. I do alot of clutch work and hard launches, but that is all 1st gear and sometimes I'll abuse 2nd. I do wind out 3rd gear sometimes, but honestly, 4th never really see's any abuse because 100+mph is 4th, and I don't do that too often, and I can't really 'drift' in 4th. Could my abuse in the other gears indirectly effect 3rd and 4th?

Andybody got an idea of what's going on?

I'm with abe. Typically 4th is the LAST gear to go since it's 1:1 and straight through instead of through the countershaft. Hell, 4th is the only decent gear I've got left in mine since I dropped the 350 in it lol. Seems like a fork issue since it's 3rd and 4th (middle in and out). Either that, or maybe you'll luck out and it's something stupid easy like a fubar'd shifter seat and socket. First yota I ever had, I though I had lost 1st and 2nd since it was insanely hard to get into gear (put my feet on the dash and did the row motion once to get it into gear when I was pissed).

Maybe check that before anything else.

On the issue at hand, my friend. No literal meaning implied.

Sphincter tightened up a little bit there, didn't it?

Yeah, 100mph is 4th gear. Revv limiter in 3rd gear is 85. I haven't tapped out 4th yet.

So I took the truck to the transmission shop. They haven't torn into it yet, but they said it's bent shift forks! You guys were right. I'll keep you updated, I'm at work so sorry for the short post.
